Yeh, coz when you bin it's gonna hurt much less at 186 than 200
Speed limits came in early 2000ish because the busa was hitting 200 mph stock and the manufacturers didn't want to get in a top speed race and have the government step in. Just like the Japanese cars had a horsepower limit until not too long along ago.

One of the members on this site is a buddy of mine. has the Gen IV, graves, ecu upgrade, some other bits. We are going to swap bikes for kicks and giggles. Just to see the difference and go for a ride.

The guy that posted the 9.8 sec 1/4 mile run against the Busa...

I know the GEN IV is an all around better bike... faster, better handling, etc.

Just going to see how soon I'll need to upgrade to the GEN IV...

So far I still like the look of the GEN III more than the GEN IV... But I'm more concerned with PERFORMANCE

It will be nice to compare the handling since I had mine adjusted and resprung v.s stock GEN IV
Are you selling me short? lol. The bike actually went 9.26 stock wheelbase and gearing. I had the top speed checked also on the dyno with the stock gears just out of curiosity. It was 194mph. Keep in mind that's with the raised rpm's due to the Ghuls flash. When you ad in real world conditions, that number can still drop, or take a while to get to.

I've been 177 with the speedo healer and pc3 and slip on; on my gen 1, 174 without pc3, without the speedo healer I've seen 187 indicated. But a good ol' gps is the end all solution

I've been 184 on my gen4 when it was stock. Have yet to be able to test it after the reflash. I topped my gixxer 750 out like every weekend, gear limited to 167, but it seems a bit more daring to do on the 10r lol. Hopefully nice weather and I can find a open empty road to top it out soon.

they go to some lengths to stop the top speed. geez, if your doing 185 mph, and their is still a few revs till redline, dunno why they cant just let it top out
Lawyers and mothers:rolleyes:

plus I run out of nut sack around a buck 60 or so.

On what? a 4th gen? With a 100 lb rider?

Damn really? I figured it was around 195ish. It really felt like it just kept pulling right up to there. I wish I had gotten it on vid but didn't have my camera on that time, still had plenty of road ahead aswell. I later found out we were rolling up on a state trooper very quickly aswell.

If it makes any difference im only like 120lbs and 5'5 so I can tuck pretty well.

I owned a gen 2 2006 zx10r that had been tuned but only found out how much when getting gearbox issues resolved did 106mph in first 135 in second and never got it flat out, did keep on throttle till 197mph it was still pulling strong I backed off as I'd run out of straight road and nerves, only bike I've never topped out in 6th
