Oh, that looks good Herb...were those SMD leds? Too bad the Gen 4 doesn't have projectors.
Not sure those were done for a friend.. he just mailed me everything in a box..
they should be to withstand the temps..

Its very simple people ..hardest part is heating the housing and not melt it..just keep moving the gun don't stop in one spot.. and make sure to seal it back up..
If u guys don't want to mess with it send it over ill do it for you.. just need your headlight and halos I got the rest, last ones I did I charged $60 but can do for $40/set plus shipping

Yo! I saw a video on youtube where they just put the whole headlight housing in a kitchen oven! Any suggestions for or against that?

Either way works but I prefer having control over the heat applied and I can c what's going on with heat gun..

When I took apart my F-150 headlights to paint them black I put them in the oven at 350 for 6-8 min. I had to put them in there twice to get it all the way apart. It worked great.

Dear god ur lucky it didnt melt it all down. I've done a lot of black housing on car headlights. It's 200-250 at 6-8 mins not higher. U just got lucky man

also i should mention... to anyone who is going inside the lights already... why not replace your shit projectors with something nice.... just a thought??

im doing retro's on the gen 1 and gen 4's.... to get the bikes out there with nice bi xenon projectors....

Thanks. I think halos might be too much now, but projectors.... I want

:+1:....I like the look of the halo's BUT to put them in my 04' i'd have to get the projectors slapped in their first. i think they look sick in the 1st gen's!
