I just installed my race ecu and harness on my 13 ZX10R, but I can not get the ecu to read or write using the calibration tool. I reinstalled the driver and the software using the manuals instruction including changing the port to match the port on the laptop and I still can't get it to respond. The bike rides fine so I know everything is installed correctly. I am running Windows 8 and am wondering if that is my problem. Is anyone running the calibration tool on a Windows 8 laptop or have a possible solution to my problem? Thank you.

I haven't tried Win8, but have tried Win7 and Win10. Even with updated drivers, I was able to connect and read the tables, but was never able to write new values to the tables.

I finally got tired of fighting it, gave up, and installed a copy of WinXP in a virtual machine, and now it works first time, every time, both on my Dell laptop and my MacBook.

Alright I figured it out. It could be a couple things. 1. I'm running a 64-bit version of Windows. The manual says it is not guaranteed to work on a 64-bit system (Windows 7). 2. When I went to diagnose the issue and my laptop said the calibration cord needed to be used on a usb2.0. (All this was on a new Toshiba)

I used to have parallels on my Mac, so I reinstalled it because I still have Windows 7 installed. It took me a while to installed the drivers, but I did and I am finally able to tune my kit ecu. I'm super excited to play with it at the track.

Having similar issues connecting to my 2014 ZX10R.

I'm using the cable from lello_87 on this site. Device drivers seem to be installed and functioning properly.

I'm not able to communicate with the ECU. When I try to monitor the ECU or read ECU data I get a "no response from ECU" failure message.

- Ignition on engine off
- COM port settings in the FI Tool match what I see in Device Manager
- Same problem with two laptops (one running Win10, another running Win7-32)

Am I missing something? Any ideas?
