look right by the bolt on the brace, see how it looks bent and possible flaked paint? Could be my imagination I guess. Still would like to see the whole bike w/o plastics and the crack showing.

:dontknow:
I have posted the pictures of my 10 on page 3!!

it aint been down the road, the mount broke i think when the frame flexed? :dontknow:

i can put my thinger inside the crack that how much it separated, i can see why people dout but why do i need to lie?

i posted as a warning to geniun 10 owners to whatch out for... not everything is perfect bro!!!

i still luv the 10 though.

from your pictures, It looks like you have a rejectable amount of porosity in the weld. Its hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like I see holes in the weld about half way up. That would be from a contaminated electrode, or lack of sheilding gas. Longitudinal cracks are quite rare. Lack of preheat, incomplete joint penetration, Poor joint fit up, lots of reasons this could have happened. And although sometimes microscopic, 99% of all aluminum welds have porosity. We do not have the technology to get around this problem yet. Take care.:helmet:
:+1: i too see alot of prosity inside the weld on pic3 so it look to be kawi's fault and they should take care of it. even without a warranty. we have to buy whole trucks that have fugged up welds that come from our plant. its rare but it does happen once in a great while.

hope they fix it .....i think i was one of the first ones to post pics of my cracked frame.they replaced my frame and did all the work free of charge.......it took awhile but they did do me right and when they took my bike apart my motor mount was broken too on both sides... just take it in they will do you right....they understand this is not suppose to happen no matter how my whillies you do

Perhaps it came in a batch of bikes. I think anyone with a frame problem should not only post pics...but post your build date. IE: my 05 is a 10/04 bike. I'd like to see if the frame problem bikes were all within a month or two of each other.

mega zoinks that's nasty man..... there not cracks there the grand canyon in disguise. The engine mount is busted too... man there is something serioulsy amiss with that bike.... i'd be guessing in not just one thing that caused the cracks it be couple.
