Got a GenII and am gonna change this gasket soon. I have totally done assloads of searching and just need a couple questions answered. Anybody know where to get a cheaper gasket than 42.00??? Or am I stuck paying that? Do I or do I not need some kinda gasket maker and which one? Permatex? RTV? Looked at some RTV sealant the other day and they only make about 10 different kinds. Also do I try the method Bloo mentioned about using washers on the cover? Think I may try that but if so any recommendations on what kinda washers? This pretty much sums it up for my ?'s. Not that its hard to do I just wanna do this right the first time.

Cool. Thanks for the replies. Like I said, went into Autozone the other day thinking there would be like 3 different things and there are about 8 or 10 choices lol. And yea, the manual calls for some Kawi brand sealant on those half moon areas so I thought id try something I could just buy down the street instead of ordering Kawi's expensive stuff.
Looks like HondaEast it is! They have it for the same price - shipped.
Will be doing the stator soon too so may just pick up some of that Permatex to go on the stator cover if need be.
