alright i have a problen with my dash ive fitted a new one and it still has the same problem does not light up neither does the rev counter has anyone else had this happen.

Have you checked the fuse for it? If that's good, then you have a problem with your ignition switch or the wiring going to the instrument cluster if it won't power up at all.

ok thanks il check it powers on but the display is very dim and no rev counter
There is only 3 connection points at the instrument cluster. Two are positive and one is the ground return for it. If neither one of them don't power up at all and go through it's self-test cycle, then it's not getting power. If the display is "dim" like you say, then that indicates the power it does have is much less than the 12vDC it needs. I'm surprised it shows anything on the LCD portion.
