Don't snipe me on this :badteeth:
I've read that they have 12 injectors instead of 8.

If they do not fit what kind of mods do I need to make?
Thanks in advance guys........

definitely not 12 injectors. that news to me if they do. and the only difference is the 06-07 primary injectors have more holes on the shower head of the injector than the 05 injectors.

If you are looking for more holes in the injector for optimal fuel atomization, wouldn't it work just to swap over to the 06 injectors instead of the 04/05?

I hope so, I've been surfing around just looking for 06 injectors for my bike (2005)... Perhaps OP meant that new injector has 12 holes instead of 8? I'm so clueless on the injectors it really isn't funny.

I am sorry forgive my crappy English, this is what I was trying to say earlier, that the injectors have more holes in the shower head not that they are twelve  (I thing 12 holes instead of 8 which like in the 1st Gen)

Well this is what I want to do swap the OEM 04-05 throttle bodies with a 2nd Gen throttle bodies set.
I am trying to find out what it takes to do so. Do I need to change the air fuel ratio afterwards???:dontknow:

U can't leave anything alone can u????LOL
What I have discovered is that the Gen2 doesn't have more holes in the injectors but it has "an improved" spray pattern. What the hell ever that is supposed to mean by Kawasaki saying that.
I know this because I have done this: I have changed the injectors over from the Gen1 to the "improved" Gen2 injectors. I bought a set off an forum member and we both discovered that the Gen1 injectors have 12 holes and the Gen2 have 10 holes.
I even bought a complete 07' zx10r throttlebody off ebay to make sure I had the correct injectors. The GEN2 injectors have fewer holes and are blue in color, the GEN1 are grey in color.
I didn't have to retune the bike any after swapping over just the injectors nor did I really notice any performance advantage. I "think" that my gas mileage, MPG, got abit better though.
Hope this helps...
