Hi everyone I am new to the site. I just bought a 2016 ZX-10R KRT and was wondering what the best slip on is for the exhaust? It is one of the first things I want to do, thanks. :smile2:

All depends on how much money you're willing to spend. Type slip on in the search bar and set aside 10 hours to read about all the different ones.

That about sums it up! The "best" exhaust means different things to different people.

But welcome to the party! Sweet ride that KRT is!

The M4 GP looks and sounds like poop. The Graves is top quality, looks great, and sounds nice. Very similar to the M4 Street Slayer.

Thanks bro, I was leaning towards the Graves anyways, looks awesome, not cheap...lol

The Street Slayer is on par with the Graves, but a bit cheaper. Not the GP, the Street Slayer. M4 makes 3 different exhausts for it.

I have the Graves Low Mount carbon CAT DELETE on my gen 5 and I LOVE it. The sound is very nice. Install is obviously easy. The finish on the can is great quality and makes me get that much more excited to ride the bike knowing it sounds great now. Really like where it mounts. :grin2:

I believe my 2016 KRT has a Titanium exhaust so after the Graves slip on there is not much more to do :) Thanks.

The material in which the exhaust is made is only one reason why you'd upgrade to a full system.

Don't the full systems that are a 4-2-1 provide more torque at 7.5k to red-line over the stock 4-1 setup?

You usually see decent midrange gains from a full system which is exactly where the gen4/5 seem to be weak.

Speaking with the engineer at Graves who developed the gen 4 and gen 5 full system..he said the big gains in the mid range over the stock gen 5 header was pairing cylinders 1and4 2and3 the opposite of the stock header. For sure the mid range is incredibly impressive improvement over the stock header. Dyno graphs are nice but what you feel in the seat of your pants when you ride it is amazing

Quick one while on this topic, do those that delete the cat (like the M4 GP) have to get a tune afterwards?
Just an FYI...for a few hundred more dollars. you can get a full Hindle system and you will get better midrange,,,torque numbers were 6 plus compared to my Yosh slip on on my other bike up to 8,000 rpms...then it evens out. I do like the Titanium Yosh cat delete slip on as well, Nels at 2Wheeldynoworks said he gets top end HP #s out of it as well but for the $, you cant beat a full Hindle System..equal to an Acrapovic in HP and torque #s...half the price :) !

Graves sent us a full system to test at 2WheelDynoworks...we tested head to head to the Hindle system, and the Graves made bout 5+ more torque and HP #s off the bottom up to bout 6,000 rpms...then it start balanced out being comparative by about 7,500 RPMs, no doubt they found some bottom end power. The Hindle made about 5 more compared to stock header and slip on so that Graves is about 10 more compared to a stock header with slip on...

I run Hindle full system on my 2016, 191.6 to the RW!!! On my 2017 I bought the Akro which I also will have Nels Tune...He is seeing 190-192 HP no matter what exhaust he has tuned on the Gen5....Speaking with him it is also true that The Graves full system makes the best Midrange up until 7500RPM, about 4-5 HP.
