1999 ZRX 1100

What is a fair value for this bike? I know they are a bit popular now as a sleeper. Is $2500 too much for a good condition bike? Its the Kawi green paint scheme.

Thanks

That's probably not a bad starting point for an asking price. It's an old bike, with not a huge following. It never did take off like it was intended. And was soon superceded by the ZRX1200. That's going to limit it's appeal somewhat. Start at $2500 obo and see what happens. If it's in good condition with decent mileage, that's probably not far off of what you can expect depending on the market you're in.

You can also check out these for book valuations...

NADA lists AVERAGE retail at about $1,800 for that bike.

KBB lists suggested retail at $2,485.

Ask $2500 and be willing to take $2,000 or so depending on how many hits you get and the overall condition.

I'm not selling one, I'm looking to buy one.

I looked at both NADA and KBB, the variation was quite wide, thats why I posted this thread to see what riders feel the value is worth. :eek:ccasion1

Oh, in that case, offer $1500 and reference the NADA number.

It will depend on what YOU think it's worth, really. How much would you be willing to pay to be on that particular bike. If you really love it, you could could justify $3,000 for it. The disparage between the 2 valuations are quite large. But, the KBB number is likely what you'd expect to pay from a dealer vs. a private party.

Wow, apparently no one is interested in older bikes. I ended up buying the bike for $1800. Runs good, few small issues and its missing the front end fairing but has been street fighter retro fitted.

I do believe that this was the best $1800 I've spent in a long time. Going to drop 1 in the front and figure out if indeed the zx9 cluster off a 97 will work on it and shes done.

Sweet bike you have there and for the money it's a good deal. I almost picked one up but decided on the 10r instead. If I ever get a second bike it will most likely be a ZRX 1200.
