Sounds normal. Injectors click. I heard a click like that and I traced it down to the chain tensioner spring being slack.
Manual tensioner on mine. It’s only really audible from the left side, and using the mechanics stethoscope really seems to be injectors, I just find it strange because it got suddenly louder today and hasn’t been this prominent before.

Have you run it lately? Does it have old gas? Maybe a cheap fix would be to run some injector cleaner through it first to see if it goes away? Then you can always dig deeper if it gets worse or doesn't go away. I like Sea-foam for cleaning out my tank. I had a diesel truck that was getting clicking noises from the injectors. Clicking is a huge part of what makes a diesel sound the way it does. However, it was built to use diesel with sulfur in it. That makes a great lubricant for injectors. Now with low sulfur diesel its like they are running dry with no oil. Going to fail. So I put a few ounces of 2 stroke oil in 25 gallons of fuel and it seems to calm down the clicking. I wouldn't suggest doing that with your bike. But if it was me I would try a cap full maybe 2 in a tank full or some Lucas oil to see if it smooths out the click? I don't know what it will do if anything good or bad with our bikes. So a small amount would be my starting point. If I ever try it I will report back on if it worked or if the bike died for no reason and I can't figure out why.

On the chain tensioner thing. I was going to go the manual route. But when I pulled off the stock piece I noticed that the spring that was suppose to add tension was completely colapsed with no spring left in it. I stretched it back out with 2 needle noised plyers about an inch and reused it. It added tension to the rachet thing and the clicking stopped almost immediately after starting it. I made a before and after video of it. I was going to share it but didn't know how at the time then just forgot after a while. So I saved $80 and didn't get the manual tensioner.

I’ve run A little Techron though it and it seems like it’s quieted down some. The bike has been sitting For 5 months so perhaps youre right and it is just some sticky or dirty and dry injectors.

If it’s not a race bike I would definitely just recommend periodic replacement of the tensioner or spring. It seems like on these bikes the springs are prone to wearing out over time, and the cam chains themselves seem to kink over time as well.

If it starts clicking again I have the spring for the tensioner ready to go in. It seemed like a better way than the ape manual tensioner, because it doesn't need fine tuning. Just install it and let it do its thing. Some many other issues pop up that I don't want to deal with that one anymore. Just so much stuff. It will add up and pile on and become overwhelming if not attended too. Then you end up selling it. I have put a couple thousand miles on it since September 2022 when I bought it. But haven't ridden it yet. No twisties or mountain carving. Just rode it to work and holiday stuff. Almost had it stolen once as well on thanksgiving. I digress.
I didn't want to get cheap on the spring. But its a spring and seemed serviceable so I reused it. Shipping would have taken a while so I ordered it and its ready to go at the first sign of trouble. One click and I am going to change it.
What happened when you tried some cleaner through it? Did it help or change anything?
Gas goes bad. So you have to ride it to keep fresh gas in there. Might just be rusty and needs a spirited ride to smooth out the rough edges? I hope.
