A new sound, which isn't all that bad to listen to, started recently. It's like a humming or winding/whining sound that happens when I let the clutch lever out. It does it at all speeds and gears, and immediately stops when I pull in the clutch. Anyone please?:dontknow:

It doesn't do it in neutral. It's more like a whiring sound pits.luis. And I think it gets louder as I accelerate, but goes away immediately when I pull in the lever.

If it does it in all gears but not neutral then it is probably final drive related, post clutch , by applying the clutch you are taking load off the drive assembly.

I would firstly check the wear on your front sprocket and rear wheel alignment, if the whine isnt coming from there , then I would do an oil service and then check the wear on the clutch ring gear if it gets worse.

There is also a known problem with 06 clutches that make noise, I think its a free fix from your dealer, maybe an 06 owner can chime in.
