I rememeber seeing some links a while bike that had different routes for certain areas and I think they even had some writeups for certain rides. Does anyone have any idea what I am talking about? I am asking because I am thinking about taking my bike to Laguna and want to be able to know where to ride and what is good without having to rely on hooking up with others.

I don't know if this helps, but I have asked that same question. I couldn't find any good spots here in Vegas and someone suggested these...

Good twisty roads going into Valley of Fire from I-15. Watch for the rangers. Good twisties between Kyle canyon to lee canyon at MT. Charleston. On the way up definitately watch for Metro and HIghway patrol. They don't like bikes!!!!

The last 12 miles going into Caliente on hiway 93 is fantastic.

The 29 miles between Shoshone Ca. and Death Valley junction is pretty good too with great pavement. Watch out for CA Highway patrol. Head due south out of Pharump to get to shoshone.....
