I've been searching for a slip-on since I bought my bike and I love the Akra's but there seems to be a ton of people running them and I have to be a little different, it's just my nature  Anyway, I'm really digging this Vance & Hines black stainless http://www.jcmotors.com/p-13644-vance-hines-cs-one-black-stainless-steel-slip-on-motorcycle-exhaust-for-kawasaki-zx-10r-08.aspx but I don't think I've seen anyone running any type of Vance & Hines exhaust on their 10s...any reason why? Back in the day V&H and Muzzy were good quality. Have they fallen off? Thanks for the input.

Your right!

Back in the day V&H and Muzzy were the 2 big dogs in exhaust systems.
Vance and Hines started aiming their business towards cruisers.
Muzzy almsot fell off the Earth, but still sells a outstanding mega phone system.
V&H appears to be making a strong come back, the market for sport bikes is quickly growing once again.
Theres alot to choose from as far as slip-ons go.Then theres alot of dud's floating around also.
Do your research, and buy whats best for your money.

Do you know if they come with the street sound insert, or is that separate?
Hmmm, good question. Every website I've looked at, even the Vance & Hines website, has stated that it's "Sound Insert Capable". I don't know if that means it's an option you have to pay for or if V&H even offers it. Surely you don't have to go thru an aftermarket manufacturer to get an insert.

Good looking exhaust plus you can install the FuelPak with V&H settings straight off their website which is very easy to do. I put a V&H exhaust and FuelPak on my Harley before selling it and loved the sound and ease of adjusting the FuelPak setting. The only thing I don't like about the new street exhausts is the shiny sections of the exhaust, would be nice to see some black ceramic coated pipes/cans.
