what's the purpose of this valve and can I remove it with out adverse affects
I have an 05 ZX10R wanna run straight through exaust....

It's the exhasut valve used to keep sound and pressure levels in-check. You can remove the valve no problem, but not the motor in the tail section or it will blink an FI light on the dash. Just disconnnect the drive cables from the motor and leave it in the tail section.

Tons of threads on the issue if you need more info.

thanks....
whats this valve called? I would like to find those other threads,.... I'm wondering if theres an advantage perform whise to takining it out or leaving it in....

No performance difference either way. The computer opens that valve at full throttle anyway. It's for reducing noise.

:+1: you can disconnect the cables in the trunk on the motor or where they connect to the actual valve itself on the exhaust and just zip tie them up somewhere.
