"Precious" is my girls name. She is named after the ring in the JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series. The character Gollom/Sméagol is obsessed with the ring and calls it "His Precious". Kind of the way I feel about the bike.

Her, of course it's a "her", cuz my bike has two HUGE (or is that Y'ooge) jugs...

I call her, "She who must be obeyed, The Mistress of Fury"... or sometimes just "M....F...'n" for short.

"Its the one that says Bad Motherfucker on it"

....Actually, i never got into this just wanted to play along.
Always thought it was silly to name a bike or a car or a fishing rod or a stool. I call mine the zx10, or zx, or zx10r, or ninja, or the green one, or the track bike, or the fast one. Depending on who I am talking to and their level of sophistication with motorcycles, dictates what i call it, because i have a few bikes. But naming it a women's name just seems plain silly to me. Also, OP, i have never seen a painted bike that looked as good as an OEM one. They always seems to look gaudy and ghetto. I have seen some race fairings on bikes whose vinyls were done by dripping wet look better than oem bikes tho.
@or10r; love the Tolken reference. Maybe i should call mine Old Toby hahahahaha.

I don't know why, but for me the only machines that should have girly names have propellers and dropped bombs in the 40's.

I call mine "It", as in from Stephen King's "It", or more specifically from the movie when the clown is staring up through the sewer grate.

I'm new to 1000cc so I'm not really sure how to perceive it, as in the same reaction I would have if I caught a glimpse of a clown looking up through a sewer gate... I would double take, and move in to get a closer look, once I realize what it is all about I get freaked the fk out. Same with my throttle!

Mines name is going to be Sue, I wouldn't want to assume its gender after all.

Probably stupid bitch when it doesn't what I want it to do, and nothing when it does.

I had to change her name because my girlfriend was jealous.
At first it was Ashley. Now it's Mélie ("May-Lee").

wouldn't it be easier to call it one thing, a name perhaps? easier than calling it 7 different things. or just say... my bike. :heyyou:

:badteeth:

track bike "pearl" because she is pearl white 3 stage in color
street bike "genny" (gen 4, and forrest gump reference).
we name them all, so we know which one of the 7 bikes we have, we are talking about. :badteeth:

I kinda see this point;

op, I never name a bike or any machine. It simply takes my aura as its own. Nothing to do with me.

What does the aura lead you to call it.
One of my favorite shows as a kid was gundam..been leaning towards the name EPYON.
It's called the Blue Roach, when I first got it I had the mirrors folded back in the garage and it reminded me of a bike from N64 Extreme G called Roach
