As motorcyclists, we’re all too familiar with car drivers merging into our lanes, seemingly blind to the fact we’re occupying the lane they are trying to merge into. But what’s proper etiquette when a two-lane road turns into one? Which order should vehicles in a double-file line let each other into a single-file line? Whatever your answer, it’s probably not what this woman was thinking as she comes from behind this motorcyclist and co-occupies the lane he’s in. He then gets upset, honks the horn a few times, gives the driver a quick lesson in merging, calls her a choice expletive then rides on.

Normally that’s where a story like this would end. Instead, he spots a police officer up ahead, flags him down, and sticks him on the car driver.

Just a slight touch of front brake and ease the old lady in front. np. I hate that video and not because of mom.

Exactly. np. The car accelerated and was easily overtaking the person on the bike, and he deliberately accelerated to have a problem. Doesn't know how to ride.

My first thought; my next was staged. Sure was a nice road. That was my first thought before I noticed the joke-on-a-ride. lol

Another topic related to other thread. My new amsoil filter arrived a couple days ago but now I'm thinking of leaving the motul in as not really bothering me right now. Might be me. idk. But too lazy to change out new oil as I paid a ton for that oil change.

Daily occurrence for those of us that live around larger cities. And yes, looked like he was trying to get more clicks for his vlog or whatever.

Just as YSR50 stated, I see this daily on my commute around Baltimore. As much as I'd love to teach all of them a lesson, I'd much rather prefer to go home to my wife and kids. Especially since they aren't going to listen to you and comprehend it anyway. Either way though, I'd be interested to know what the end result was with the police involvement. I'd assume probably nothing, but I could be wrong.

I'd have turned in my man card, started using the women's restroom and eventually shot myself in the head after a short bout of depression for being such a pussy.

That biker was a whiny bitch running to the cops. Either get in there and fight for your spot or let the woman have it, but a motorcycle fighting for space against a cage is a losing battle and people just don't give a fuck anymore. You never know when someone is just going to snap and run your ass over maliciously.

I ride my smaller displacement bikes on the street (DRZ400SM & Ninja 300) and I run into problems like this guy all the time. Without the power, you don't have many options. Just slow down and let that the re re go about their business.

That NEVER happens here although I don't have any road configuration situations similar to the video. I don't think cagers view a difference between a liter or a light weight. Not the bike just that CA cagers are great around bikes. Road culture thing as doesn't matter what culture the auto driver entrenched they all are like us in the cage: rather have the fookin moto in front so don't have to think about him. lol. I never just ease on by when all good. If the entire country simply did one little thing: make lane sharing legal for all two wheeled motos then we would have an easy going driving culture around bikes. Legal lane sharing is the cultural secret and riders must be dialed in before sharing (do NOT share unless inside the comfort zone.) The above rider was stressed as he never had a chance to simply hang tight with autos. Over-reacted. Bottom line is if not hit then all good.

The rider's a tool. Had plenty of time to move in front or behind the car instead of crying like a 4 year old with a grazed knee. And running off to the cop to dibber dob? Pathetic. :gay: :loser:

So far the responses here mimic about 95% of my friends who ride. There was no real problem here until the rider created one. As was stated earlier, just tap the front brake and let them in. Besides, I always want a driver like this in front of me where I have some control over the situation and not behind me hoping they know how to use the brakes.

Although I agree the situation could have been diffused by simply letting the car in and it was poor idea to sit beside the car for that long, the lack of respect for motorcyclists is reprehensible and dangerous. Both parties at fault here. Quick response by the cop!

never ask for stupid popo to get involved in anything unless injury involved. And even that will become a mess unless ro is highly experienced and that means he's messed up enough to figure out sociomatrics of people. Usually around retirement age (55)

That crap happens all the time here. People always try to blast past other people at merges instead of every other car to merge in. Or very last second lane changes. Its dangerous and pisses me off because people get mad when you honk at them after they cut you off. You almost sometimes have to block people out of a lane because the manuevers they do to get as far in front of the line as they can are really dangerous. Shoulder driving, cutting people off. That kind of nonsense. And this is just SoCal. Its not some place where there is an unestablished set of rules for the roads.
