What can it be??

I got an 05 ZX6R (stock clutch) @ Buttonwillow doing a track day over the weekend.. When I'm in 2nd. gear and throttle it hard the bike jerks (catch and release effect) at about 9K RPM.. It seems to happen in full lean.. All the other gear is find at high RPM.. any suggestion ? My buddy has an 04 ZX10R and his bike is doing the same thing.. His clutch is still new and mine has a few trackdays on it..

What have you guys done to the bikes recently? Anything at all?

The tip over sensor seems like a good place to start, especially if it only happens when you are full lean. As for only happening in 2nd gear maybe you guys just hit the turns hard in 2nd gear.
Nothing was done to the bike.. When I'm in full lean on the other gears it's fine.. If I remember correctly it doesn't happen when the bike is straight up.. so I'm stump at this moment.. I'll check the tip over sensor to at this point it wont hurt.
What makes you think the clutch has anything to do with it? That would affect all gears, not just second. Sounds to me like the gear dogs in second are not fully engaged and it's popping into and out of gear. That would be indicative of a worn or bent shift fork, bad shift drum, etc. I'd be pulling the motor and splitting the cases to check tranny parts based on that description.

It was wishful thinking on the clutch..if I have to split the case, I would just sell the bike and get a new 1..

The initial description isn't very detailed mind you, so my thoughts on it are preliminary. Can you provide anything else? If the tip over switch was intermittently hitting at high lean angles, it would be shutting off the motor and would need a reset which is why I don't think that. Is there anything else abnormal or going on when this is happening?
Just normal track riding, clutchless shifting, down shifts, engine breaking.. stock engine..

No, I meant when it feels like it's studdering, are there any other things happening? Do you clutchless shift into second?
Nothing weird happens before the stutter or after with all the gears @ high RPM.. Yes and no on the clucthless shifting into 2nd..Sometimes I do use the clutch lever and sometimes I don't.. I'll find a straight road and test her out some more on a high RPM run..
