Hey green posse I want to drop I'n the 08+ race intake cam I'n my gen1 and wascwondering if anybody has any numbers that they have used I'm 205 I'n gear the bike is pretty quick for a stock bottom end bike ,I live on Florida and mostly do 9/10 racing my mods are full arata,pc,ign mod,no flies, BMc filter,velocity port head,custom springs,kit intake cam ,no flies,and setup on e85,and ecu reflashed to 13650.the race Manel suggests 110/2?? I think Garth groped the 3gen kit cam I'n a bike and picked up 4 hp over the gen1 kit cam w the same degree numbers somebody else said they tried 110/109 and picked up 3mph I'n the quarter... I don't know where to start

The gen 1 race intake cam has the same lift as the gen 3 race intake cam, but it has 14 degrees more duration. The gen 1 cam should make more top end power than the gen 3, especially if you are reving the engine 1000 rpm higher. Mike.

The gen 1 race cam will make more top end hp. Especially if you are planning to rev the engine above the factory rev limiter. Mike.

The gen 3 race intake came had way more lift and like 8 points less duration he'll look at the Dyno charts all the gen3 make s yon of top end power compared to the other gens

The lift of the gen 1 and gen 3 race intake cams is the same. The only difference is the gen 1 cam has 14 degrees more duration. Everything else being equal, the gen 1 race intake cam will make more top end hp period. Especially when you are extending the rpm range. The main reason why the gen 3's make more top end hp is the factory installed cam numbers. They are biased towards more top end power with the cam numbers as installed from the factory. They also have the dual injector setup. Mike.

Well I don't think CAm timing is going to drastically effect power increase as much as where and when she will make power over the band,the dual injector will he'll but not that much

You are forgetting the profile from the equation, how fast the valves open and close each time. You can have 2 cams with same lift and duration and be very different.
Also one cam with less duration can actually have more duration at 0.50'' lift from the other.

You determine duration and lift by finding :
At what degrees the intake cam opens After Top Dead Center (ATDC) and closes After Bottom Dead Center (ABDC).
At what degrees the exhaust cam opens Before Bottom Dead Center (BBDC) and closes After Top Dead Center (ATDC)

The key is to know at what degrees to open and close intake and exhuat valves for each engine to get the best out of it...

That's my view, please correct me if i am wrong.

y would u put 08 cam in 06

The lift is a lot less on the 08 race cam and from what I have read on hear 06 like more lift?? and the duration is the same??
correct me if I'm wrong

Is there a full identical aftermarket cam

does anyone know if some one is doing a identical copy of the kawasaki zx10 04-05 race cam??
If some one does there is a lot of sales just on this forum alone...
