I turned my fence into double gate doors so i can put my trailer in the back yard. Well, one portion of the gate door is fine, the other side of the door is significantly bigger and i dont know if the standard 2 hinges will hold the weight of the gate. the hinges are screwed to a 4x4 thats in cement. HOw do i support the gate, any suggestions???

You can also use a taller post on the hinge side, say a 12 foot 4x4 sticking 8 feet out of the ground. Near the top of the 4x4 attach a cable that extends to the end of the gate. Sounds like this option is a little late to consider though, since you already have your post in the ground. I spent quite a bit of time getting the gate at my mom's house right. Had to move without too much resistance or the opener won't work.

a third hinge will definetly help. i just dont know if it will hold...

the cable will work, might have to figure that out....

Sounded like a good idea to me, our gate at the house has a wheel on it and it works great
