i got some vortex rear sets for my 2009 zx10r and the kickstand spring is interfering with the shiftrod... any suggestions please help

Bend it a little, I have the same rearsets and I seem to remember having the same issue, just make sure the shift rod is properly installed and you may need to try and move the spring a little.

Put the stock one back on? Does it touch when riding also or just when on kickstand?

Try flipping the spring upside down, so you have the longer side near the shift rod

i dont have the stock one and its to long because my bike is lowered and yes it touches when im riding it bothers when i shift it doesnt rebound the shifting it sucks

Ddue can't help you on this one then - just don't use a kickstand - lean it up agaist the wall ccasion1

I have mine up all the way as to down and it seams to work. Try it and see if it bothers you. Also I would try to center the shift rod on both screws when you are done and use the lock nut.

it looks like the short end of the spring would not connect to the aftermarket kickstand clamp.
so the only way the spring connects is the way he currently has it.
try moving the transmission connector forward about a half an inch,hopefully it wont hit your lower fairing.That will lower your shifting clearence.
You'll also have to adjust that shifting rod if possible.Looks like it's pretty well at it's longest length though.

Why don't you just try raising the foot peg up one whole. That looks like it will clear the spring.

If you have a sears hardware or a GOOD old fashioned hardware store you cn get a spring that has a longer hook with shorter but a little thicker coils I know sears has tons of springs and little stuff like that .Jake
