My 2nd race was red flagged due to a crash, I was about 2 seconds behind the guy, rider down in the middle of the track pretty hard (short clip): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qasxXjQ6s1M&feature=youtu.be

Here’s video of my 3rd race from this weekend. All total I rode 181 miles and I was sooo sore by the 3rd race that ½ way through my triceps & quads were screaming. Did I know there was a 600cc race lining up behind us (which you see at the start of the video). I got a good start and was running my fastest ever lap times of but all these guys in front me were doing about 7sec quicker so they were gone. 2min. in here comes the leader of the 600 race shooting by me into turn 3. 4min. in a 600 rider just about took me out at the top of turn 2, he cut it way too tight and we both had to straighten up, thought I was going down there for a sec. Then I get a pack of the 600s on my ass, didn’t know they were there trying to get around me, kept pulling them in the straights sections, but they all went blowing by going into turn 9 and I was like wtf who are these guys and where did they come from.. It appeared at that point I was all alone so I backed it down and just cruised because I was so sore & tired, then towards the final lap I looked behind and saw a Panigale catching up so I turned it back on to the finish. Those leaders are running fast laptimes out there, even in the novice class. I dropped my laptimes by a few sec since the last time I was out there, and I didn’t go down so I’m content. Lot of fun. Still sore though..

And here are some pretty good pics

Subbed to watch the video later. Cool story though! Was wondering how your weekend went with this. Looking forward to seeing the footage, cause the pics look great.

Nice very nice. Big Willow is a tough track to ride lots of speed. That long right hander must beat the shit out of the right side of your tire. LOL

Sting, always dig your vid's. Looks like you got the side mount
going for the camera, it's a good angle.

Good job, makes me jealous, wish I was out there looks like
a ton of fun.

That pack of 600's coming up behind made me laugh, looked
like a scene out of Mad Max or something.

I've never raced and only been to a handfull of trackdays, but
find learning to check your ego is a good thing.

Good job!

Didnt get to watch the video yet but 181 miles at race pace is insane. Makes me tired just thinking about it.

Those 600s were like a pack of wild dogs. Funny how they got left on the straights though.
Yeah I didn't know they were there, but it must have been frustrating as hell for them to have me keep pulling away on the straights, lol

What's the plans for next year?
as many races as I can, my bike is a dedicated race bike now and the yellow # plates are gone, so just expert class for now on.

yeah all right handers with 3 short lefts. My Pirelli guy is really cool, he'll flip my slicks over so I can put wear on the unused sides, no extra fee for the mount-n-balance, just part of his service.

Mad Max biker pack.. no kidding! lol Yeah that's GoPro's roll-bar mount that I've clamped around the frame slider. the mount is solid, the only problem is the frame slider starts to rotate, no madder how much I tighten it down, I think it's designed to do that in a crash.

I'll tell ya in that 3rd race my triceps & quads were hurting so bad, I had nothing left. way over did it that weekend.

Looks like I'm late to the party. I missed all the track days last year due to money and then a bike accident, but I'm planning to make it up this year and do at least 3 plus my wife reserved me a spot at the California superbike school when it comes to VIR in august. I can't wait.
