I'm riding out to MD this weekend for a Total Control class. I have heard that they are awesome, and I'm really looking forward to this.

I want to take my Tom-Tom GPS along for the ride.

How does one put/use the GPS on a 10?

You didn't say which GPS.

Tech mount and an extra GPS holder from your brand is the easiest way.

Or put it in a clear map pocket in a tank bag.

Me likey!

I got the RAM mount. Works good. http://www.ram-mount.com/

I like the fact that I can take off the GPS unit when I am done riding.

There does seem to be an additional component beside the RAM Mount that you have (the one that actually holds the GPS unit). What is that, and where do I get it?

Also, is the RAM Mount secure? Does this hold up good when your speedometer approaches/passes triple digits?

Yes, easy on and off. Clears the tank and is in a good position. You can lock the handle bars left to right without any issues. I love it!

You need the base and the mount.

Yes, very secure. Thing is solid. I have verified my speed in the upper triple digits and had no issues. Great for programming your speedohealer. I had my speedometer dead on.

I see the Mount on the RAM Mount site. Where do I hunt for the base?
