Guys,

is is ok to run the bike when the oil window is completely filled (bike standing leveled and straight, of course) ?

Thanks alot

Too much oil can rob HP and mpg. I would think the clutch could maybe not engage properly, but since I don't really know about such things I'll just say this.... Too much oil no good, drain some till its right.

Gen2 should take 4 QTs (w/ filter change) to the top of the window. No problem at this point, since "normal" mid window is about 3.9 QTs. Pretty much ok anywhere in the window.

If you really have a 1/2 QT extra in there you should let a little out. Be much easier to let out the filter, than the drain bolt.

:+1: I always make sure my level is somewhere in the upper 2/3's of the window...

Has anyone been into the bottom of these motors and seen if there are any windage trays or anything:dontknow:

i really dont do wheelies. maybe a power wheelie every once in a while. here is what i have: the picture that you see below is the angle of the bike when the oil is to the top of the window! If I keep standing the bike upright the oil goes over the top of the window.

Drain it?
