Nice article...good to see the rep given to this awesome website for us ZX-10R owners!

I'm gonna go get some new grips now...just a little mod that I haven't chosen

I can't even explain how awesome that article is, as well as this site and all it's members. They captured it right, calling it the most hardcore bike ever, tamed down or not there isn't another bike out there that would give you the great feelings you get from a ZX-10R.

to me,suspension up grades would be higher rated..that a damper, exhaust, power commander..Mind you they are all good items to have and i have that are listed and most likely more but still, riders skill and good suspension will make you faster and smoother than an exhaust, power commander ect..Even in stock form the 10r is no slouch in any department..

I think most people don't track that often if at all making mods that add power more fun and higher on their priority list.

I'm confused about one thing. The first theing they mention in the article is a Power Commander. But then the first mod they mention is an aftermarket pipe. I would consider a Power Commander to be a mod. SO, I don't know what they're saying.

Get a Power Commander or get a pipe?

Suspension upgrades are the most expensive and not as accessible to most. Most of the mods listed were good ones...Heck my 636 had massive suspension done and it was the ride of my life but yeah...It would not be one of the first 10 upgrades I do. After all is said and done and I realize I will keep the bike for a while then I would do it.

No both are seperate. The power commander allows you to fine tune the fuel map of a bike. With it you can get a little more hp out of a bike. Where they really benefit is when you have a full system. A full system can mess with the A/F ratio and a power commander will allow you to fix this with a good dyno tune. A PC3 or equivalent product is needed to get the most out of a full system.

I copied this part from the article. It's great that Champ Industries is getting some publicity. And to anyone new on this site, Champ sliders are very good.

Crash Protectors
Fitting crash protectors is such an obvious and neccessary mod that alot of the guys on ZX-10R.net forgot to mention them in their personal top ten's... it's the first thing most of them do after getting the bike. Since alot of ZX-10R's spend a fair bit of time on track, this isn't surprising. LSL make some great looking sliders, but most of the guys on ZX-10R.net use some tough Delrin items (pictured) produced by Pete at Champ Industries, one of their members.

* Compare and buy crash protectors

So just getting a Power Commander with a stock exhaust system would or would not be a good modification?

I would buy the pipe first, if you are only going slip on, but if yo are running a full system, you really should have a PCIII as well, the two go hand in hand, but for most slip ons the PCIII is not mandatory, but if you have the money get both.

I also have to say Power Commander does not have the market cornered like they used to there are other worthy products out there that do the same thing, namely Bazzaz.
