Ok here is where i am at right now,

I have a 2005 zx6r with BST wheels and the back wheel is 5.75 inches wide.
Now with the 180/55 tire on the bike it feels decent enough for straightline riding and handling given the lightness of the bike 380lbs fully fueled in street trim.
But based off the profile of how the tire should be and the width of the rim, it felt when the bike is leaned over there is not the same stability or grip from the back fo the bike.

So i would go out on a limb and say the 180/55 is more like a 180/50...

I am thinking i will go 190/50 and with the 1/4" thinner wheel it should make the tire more like a 185/55'ish?
Does this make any sense?
It should give more contact patch while leaned over and more grip while coming out of a turn.

input and thoughts welcome.
