Not sure if there's a write up but it's very easy!! Get a piece of rod and stick it through you frame (you'll see where) then put the rod on jack stands and pull your wheel/shock/other bits/swingarm it's pretty straight forward
Umm nope that won't work, the rod can't to go through the swingarm pivot bolt for swapping the swingarm you have to take that long hollow bolt out.

Looking to remove my stock swingarm off my 05. Anybody have a how-to write up or link to help me out?
Is there a reason to swap it out? Just curious. U doing the gen3 swingarm swap?

I used Jack stands and microfiber towels as pads and put them under my Champs sliders to support the bike. Works pretty good, still a little hairy

Ive used the frame slider trick before i had stands on my 954 to remove the front rim.
I like that peg idea, im doing a swingarm swap and might do it that way.

On a different forum i asked the same question and a lot of people seem to just jack the bike up from the bellypan (so remove the exhaust).

Does the Gen 3 swingarm directly swap out with the Gen 1.
Do you have to change any parts, such as the axle or wheels.

Thinking about this mod in the future and want to find out what I can.
