My motorbike got stolen months ago and it in police custody , however the suspect denied it was my bike and he is bailed ! Police will hold bike to examine it. He denies it is my bike.

I think the low life thieving scumbags steal bikes put thier frame on it ( frame comes with logbook and number plate ) and ride it as if it is theirs. When they get caught they claim it is thier bike!!!....disgusting!

Can any one shed any thoughts on this and what likehood is and any thoughts?

You may want to clarify and add details. As it sits, you sound like a conspiracy theorist nut job.

It takes 2 seconds to verify the VIN off the engine block, the frame, and check the license plate for registered owners.

Also, talk to the police, not the internet.
It's not uncommon to frame swap a stolen bike. Why do you think it's yours?

your the nut job! I had to go through the experience of getting my bike stolen, then this abuse!

All the parts on the bike look exactly like mine, the engine number has been grinded out, and it appears like the thieving cunts put thier frame on my bike..
Sounds like the thieves may be one step ahead. Take the insurance money and buy another bike. On the next bike, maybe mark up several hidden areas, maybe even use the security stuff they sell in the UK designed to help with this situation.

Sucks whatever way you look at it.
Hard to sort this as different cultures. Here thieves don't ride but simply sell our engine. Possible in UK the thieves will take several 10r's, change out engines, then have a way to gain approval at your DMV to salvage license the bike, or whatever, so then unsuspecting rider buys a used bike that he does not know has been Frankenstein from several. I'm just thinking here; on the other hand every criminal is a liar so the numbers on the bike should show more info. Possible both of you were ganked.

i'm currently rebuilding the engine of my dirtbike that was stolen then dumped once they grenaded the engine. i even know who did it. i feel your pain. trust me, i do.

talk to a detective. the police. not the internet. especially about legal things

get insurance money, move on. more important things in life to get upset over. i stressed myself sick from not eating or sleeping because i was absolutely furious 24/7 for two weeks after my bike was stolen before letting it all go. much better now. its just a bike.
Sorry to hear that, hope you fix it.

When it happend I found out that I did not have theft insurance (my fault) so they did'nt pay up.

I did move on, months after now, but was shocked to find out she has now been found, but the thieving scum had complicated the find by possibly throwing thier frame on it. Will speak to the DC.
