Kinda new to this! If you change the front sprocket, does it make the speedometer off? If so, is there anyway to correct it?
Thanks

Only if you change up the teeth on the sprocket. If so get a speedohealer. A sponsor might be able to hook you up but cal sportbikes is the one that actually imports them, used to be a sponsor but not any more.

usually people go 1 tooth smaller up front to help with faster acceleration.... BCM is correct and a speedo healer will be able to calibrate the speedometer back to perfect speed.

Your speedo is already off by about 5 or 6 percent with stock gearing (reads high). Reducing teeth in the front or adding teeth in the rear will make it off even more.

A speedohealer allows you adjust it so it is accurate with whatever gearing you select.

Its not a requirement but your speedo and mileage will be off without it.

Yeah best bet if you have the $$'s is to get the Speedohealer. Installation is easy and it works great. If not just change the sprocket and have someone drive/ride alongside you at a set speed. Check it at different speeds and it will give you an idea of how much it's off.

I'd spend the few extra since sprockets aren't much and get the Speedohealer.

There is no reason to spend $100+ for a speedohealer. No one really goes the speed limit and its not hard to go with the flow of traffic. Ur speedo is only like 7 mph off when ur hauling ass.

Pretty much true but if the road is empty at least you would have and idea how fast your going. That and its not all about the speedo, mileage gets messed up too
