just registered for MWGP's season opener at Spring Mtn. Mar 21/22.
This track is said to be epic, can't wait to race there.
Anyone else going?

Beautiful site right there! A ZX-10 stripped down to get ready for the track with some new slicks ready to go!

If that track was closer to FL, I'd join you. Good luck and have fun!

would love to run a trackday with you someday

How did it go?
went ok but not great. Fantastic track, very demanding, you are either hard on the gas or hard on the brakes at all times, complete opposite from tracks like Willow Springs or Chuck Walla that are smooth sweepers. I did 4 sessions on Sat and my back was just killing me to the point that I couldn't get comfortable on the bike, so I decided to pack it in before something bad happened. Pretty sure I hit the weights too hard a couple days before going out there. I was pre-registered for Open Superbike & Formula 40 but never ran them. I did get to run with Jeremy Toye out there for the first time, saw him long enough to recognize his the name on his back anyway
I'll be hittin Chuck Walla on the 10th and racing Willow Springs on the 19th and will definitely be in condition for that. Sucks getting old and having your body bark at ya!

did you run the full course. I hear its pretty nice since they expanded the track.
Spring Mtn. has over 30 different track courses they can run for the cars. We ran the 2.4 North/South track, I think it's also called "the infield"
GREAT facility, bathrooms with showers, track is really clean, they run a street sweeper to clean it off before a new event. Got to ride my bicycle around it Friday afternoon for 4 laps to get a preview of the track.

Never fun to have to quit early, but stopping before something bad happened seems like the smart move. I hope to get smarter about knowing my limits :badteeth:
