I have just picked my 05 ZX10 up from having a ful service and a Dyno run with set up at my nearest main dealer and on the ride home I noticed that no speed was registering on the speedo and the FI light was on. So I phoned the dealer when I got home to ask if it was possible that something was left a drift after the dyno run. They said probably not but I should check the speed sensor on the side of the front sprocket cover and make sure the block connector was together. Which I did and it was so I asked them to order me a new speed sensor. Then I thought I would have a look on line at the problem and on an old post on ZX10.net I found someone had something similar and that turned out to be a crimped wire behind the engine bracket after having the sparkplugs changed. So I took the left hand side fairing off only to find the speed sensor cable squashed behind the engine bracket. So it's got to go back. I normally do my own servicing and I think I will start doing it again.
