Solution for auto blip after ecu flash?

552 Views 10 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Fsp
I have been wanting to ask this question for awhile now, for months actually... my 2022 zx10r got a Moore mafia flash and I asked for the throttle cut on decel option knowing it would cause a jump in the auto blips but I was hoping for a way to fix it later. Does anyone have a solution? I thought the on off throttle was unacceptable and bothered me and figured I would just have to have one or the other, a smooth on off throttle and no autobilps. but now I want the autoblips back has anyone tried healtech or just another quickshifter setup that would fix this without me having to send back the ecu to enable the throttle decut option?

I had this problem with my woolich flash on my 2019 se. It would launch forward while downshifting. Went back into the tune and selected or de-selected the fuel cut(can’t remember which now) and it went away, smooth downshifts again.
Doesn’t really answer your question,

what is the purpose of this feature?
It would smooth out the on off throttle from closed to back on, the injectors do not fully close they stay on for a bit to smooth things out. I was told by Chris Moore the zx 10r is one of the bikes that does the jump with the throttle cut option disabled, the others do not do it, he told me to try heal tech to try and fix the problem? Not sure if that works good or another quick shifter would work? I was really hoping someone knew... may just have to send my ecu back unless someone knows a way to keep the fuel cut option and remove the jump. When I first rode the bike I thought the on off throttle was jerky, maybe I was being too picky but trying to wheelie was tricky compared to other bikes I have had and reflashed, it just sucks to have to send it back to have one small option fixed I just use my clutch for downshifts for now.

The only way to fix this is to send it back and have it turned off again. Racing this model, we have found that if you use the autoblip in the high RPM's, this will not happen. So get your autoblip shifts done in high RPM's, or turn this feature off again.

I did notice the autoblips work in the high rpms when I frst got the ecu back from the reflash, there is a small window were it works. I also noticed the quick shifter likes to be used at high rpm or it also works good at low in the middle not as smooth that is what I noticed from my bike. I decided to send it back today, it's out of the bike and ready to get sent back to Moore mafia, they told me no charge so am happy. Thanks for the reply I love this bike, it's a great bike and I plan on keeping it around as long as I can, I ride alot would like to go to a track one day.
its a fucked up tune period, you should have spent a few more bucks and got the woolich setup so you could tune it yourself, unless you are drag racing then moore is a great tune. for day to day riding not so much, I have had a tune where it did that yank you off your seat when you blip down but i changed the tune to a different base tune ie the iap map i used was a different one, since it works for the off throttle shit, and it went away fuel cut or not, really you learn to tune out the on off throttle response in your wrist after riding the bike for a while all on your own but you can also do the tune where the throttle cut doesnt make any noticable difference aside from slightly better economy but even that is negligible and should not be a focus on a zx10 ever anyway. all the same, the tune is not a good tune for normal or aggressive street riding, dude sets the shit up for top end power not rideability or so i have seen and heard

I have not been super happy since I sent it back twice now, I am finding out that you are totally correct I think I would only be happy if I could tune somethings myself, I got the ecu back tried it out and got my autoblips back but noticed a pop now when I slightly crack the throttle after coasting is this normal? I thought maybe because the throttle cut is enabled and my short m4 exhaust is creating this new annoying feature? I also agree with you on what you said about the on off throttle I am adjusting to it and it's not too bad. I emailed Chris he said I must have an exhaust leak but my bike didn't pop before until he enabled the fuel decut so he said only thing he could do was richen it a little sent it back again got it back and it still pops but not as bad, I give it some gas coast just riding around crack the throttle a little and it pops once.

I live in the foothills were I don't want to draw more attention to myself riding around poping off, I almost wish I would have left it alone, it was smooth with no pops only when I used the quick shifter when the throttle cut was disabled, now it pops even when I use the clutch with it enabled I checked for leaks but have not checked the pair valve system for leaks I seriously doubt I have one, just wondering now if anyone else had the same issues? I have a street slayer m4 I decided just to leave it alone at this point I wish I would have gone the the woolich route now this is the first bike out of four I have had were I really was not happy all were mail in flashes, at least I have my blips back but the pop when I first crack the throttle after coasting in every gear is annoying maybe there is a leak but I doubt it have to check closer when I have free time..

Yeah man, not to be a dick but chris is not a tune master for one thing, he is kinda new to it, sure he is doing the damn thing but he is riding his youtube fame to do more than he knows about in my opinion, I saw the vid where he got over 200 hp on our bikes with just a flash etc, but it was all dyno stuff going only for max hp numbers and not even taking into account longevity rideability or streetability and really the zx is mostly an afterthought for him. like i said if you drag race, then maybe but otherwise hell no, graves for a canned tune any day, but for around 400 you can have a tune setup on bike, for under 7 you have wideband, logging, autotune, full control of everything about your bike, easily read and clear codes, on line email and phone support, maps that are shared, a chance to learn and really since each bike is different a tune that fits your riding and your bike and its setup to a t, worth every single penny, first thing i did to my bike this time, then the saddleman seat but first is woolich with logbox and wideband. worth it and some, if you know anyone else with a similar gen zx you can do their bike for 100 bucks fyi or charge them a lil, but you can disable all fi codes, change shift delays rpm limit, fuel ratios and all sorts of shit. and can always set it back to to stock for warranty or whatever else may make you do some crazy shit like that, still, just a thought, pony up for a woolich setup start with the basic with on bike harness and then upgrade to logbox when you dont mind spending the extra, or dont but man, you are missing out and dealing with dumb shit if you dont

also,, if you have not done the pair mod then you will have that pop, you can do the block off setup all by yourself with a couple bolts and some hose clamps easy as that, doesnt look pretty but who the hell is under your tank ever but you, I did it with a bike when i was tight on cash, last bike i just linked the two hoses together and that was it, cut the long one made it a loop back and tossed the rest of the shit, easy as hell, didnt save weight but really we are talking ounces not lbs
So there is a way with the woolich to disable the fuel cut and still not get the jump in auto blips? That was what I have been trying to figure out all along. I did the pair valve block I have done it on several bikes in the past and never had this popping problem, it sounds like I have a lot to learn, this is all alot for me to learn, thanks for your help, right now I just don't have the money to pursue the tune I'm looking for, looks like I will have to just ride the way it is for a while. So much to learn thanks again.
