ok, i just replaced the seal...maybe this was were my oil leak was coming from..the old seal was flush with the motor casing. when i went to put the new seal in, it felt like it locked in place a little deeper than flush with the motor casing..is this right, or did it go in to far?
so now there is a little lip
i figured this was right, because there is a groove around the shift rod for the metal spring to fit in around inside the seal...kinda made sense to me, hope i did it right
there was a bunch of oil residue in and around the old seal.
