If the nut is in good shape way not! Impact gun doing up is something else though, these clutch and front sprocket nuts are bastards to break away first time. Strangly with both if you torque them back as the manual states you don't have the same hard as fuck to get off in the future issues, so its better to torque it on.
Impact wrenches are for removal. They shouldn't be used to install ANYTHING! That's one of the quickest ways to fuck up a bolt/nut! Torque it properly when reinstalling.

I prefer the ring type, i used the above tools and to be honest there tempermental especially if the nut is fighting you those above pop off and can damage the basket, this link is just a quick search but they are much more efficient.
I had the ring type for my r1 , was an ebs i think, didn't get on well with it, i think I'll give the motion pro a go this time, thanks for your replys bud 👍
