Hey guys,

Went in to tighten my steering a bit. Service manual says to simply lift off the stem head and handlbars together. I'm not sure how this is possible as the brake line isn't long enough to allow the right clip-on to make it over the fork top plug and rebound adjuster. [smilie=B:

Any tips, or will I have to disconnect everything from the handlebars first? Thanks!

It is not nessacery (sp- so sue me) to remove the clipons. If you are meaning to adjust the steering stem bearings, just loosen the lock nut, lossen the clamps on the top tripple, possibly the clipons too, adjust, then reverse the proceedure.

And if you have to lift the top clamp and handlebars together, just remove the 2 bolts that secure the master cylinder to the handlebar. Non-issue.

Coolio. Thanks guys. I didn't think to simply remove the brake lever/mc assembly from the clip-on. That should provide enough to get the pieces off the top of the forks. :)
