Hey guys, I replaced my fork seals on my zx10r 2006. When following the guides, taking the top cap off the forks, it unscrewed the dampening rod from the top cap also, so I had to screw that back on, which was hard with no rachet straps but eventually did it both sides.

The suspension feels much better now with new oil and seals. But the rebound dampener, they turn but only click on the last four turns on the left and the last seven on the right.

What have I done? Please help!

Now, onto the real problem.

You didn't set the damping rod bolt properly. You need to take the cap back off and set the bolt correctly. This adjustment is crucial to get that right.

Thanks SkyDork,

I thought it would be something to do with that. I now have the caps back off, I'm going to ratchet down the spring so I can see the bottom of the caps. I couldn't figure out what the diagram pertains to in real life, what I got from it was, I need 13mm of thread showing above the nut?
