i just wanted to see who is playin around with tire sizes. what size? how did the 10 respond (w/ proper suspension setup)? any body switch only to return to stock size? do you run different size at track only? overall opinion... i know.... alot to do with preference here, but i am considering changing size to 180/55 or 190/55, hopefully this will help me as well as others........ :zx_green:

Love the 180/55 (Pilot Pwrs). Works great on the street and makes tha bike feel the way i like it. The 190/50 just didn't fit my taste.

btw- I made no geometry changes.

I run the 190/50 but I was thinking of trying the 180/55. I see the new 10r is running a 190/55 and it is supposed to help with traction while leaned over. I dunno?!!

190/60. Dropped rear and front. SUPER DRASTIC GEOMETRY.

I love it...just gotta be uber smooth on the gas. Penske Rear shock helps alot of the shakes.

Like the 180 PP. Just when exiting a corner be easy on her or she will spin up

thanks for all the replies.... im really leaning towards a 190/55 next time, which is more of a drastic suspension change (requires proper setup)/more expensive/increases inaccuracy of speedo more than a 180. has anybody tried both of theese sizes? is the 190/55 really worth it?

its just a personal prefernce really. i just like the 180 better because the bike turns in a lot easier. From what i have heard the 190 is more stable at higher speeds and wheelies but I haven't really noticed a differance. Just go with what you are comfortbale on.

IMO, it depends on what you do...how you ride.

If you never go to the track...Id save your money and buy 180/55s cause theyre cheap.

If you go to the track alot...I would start looking into a bigger tire...IE, 190/55 190/60.

Ah yes, the 190/60 is the shit. More traction coming out of turns fo sho'. I like the 180/55 also but they don't have the lean angle of the 190 on my setup.
Rear raised 3mm and front dropped 8mm.

i have a 190/55 rear stock height (besides the taller tire) front dropped 3mm.

end of next year i'll go with the 190/60 with the front raised 2mm from stock.

Where can you get 190/60's at right now? I'm seriously looking at this for my 636. I've seen 195/70 slicks on one and they actually fit. :eyecrazy:
