Ok, it's been doing this since brand new(8/2010), but it's getting worse.

intermittently, I step on the rear brake and there is an initial "pedal" or resistence felt, then a "POP" sensation and the pedal drops more.

Only drops an additional 1/4" - 3/8" and does not affect the "grab" but it's un-nerving!

Used to do it 1-out-of-every-10-times, but now it's about one in three. So it's getting worse.

Things I've already tried:
1. bleed
2. flush out/replace all fluid
3. adjust MC actuator rod
4. check & re-torque caliper
5. check & re-torque rotor
6. remove, sand, and re-install pads with new pin grease.
7. remove heel gaurd.

No dice. still "popping"

Ideas? suggestions?

I wonder if it's the pedal itself ? Perhaps the pivot needs a bit of grease. Alternatively, could the brake light switch be adding a bit of inital drag ?

Cheers,
Brian

Good idea on the lamp switch, I'm going to investigate this.

Is anything bent?
No, nothing bent or damaged. Its done it since I uncrated it this past summer.

I'm just gonna say that there is still air in the line. I've bleed the shit out of my brakes and when it sat for 3 months a half inch air bubble was in the clear hose between the mc and brake reservoir.
