Hello guys,

My bike's fairing is pretty much messed up.... It diffinitely needs a complete paint job, or new fairing... just wondering how much each way would cost... do not want to spend a lot of money.

Any idea how much just repainting would cost approximately? Also, if the Gas tank and the front fairing can be repaired or not..

Also, any idea how much would be the stickers?

Thanks a lot in advance.
Take care.

expect to pay a min of $2k for a reliable painter to refinish a whole bike ,a little more with the damage you have would not be unheard of. You can probably find a hungry painter to deal with in your area just make sure they are checked out on plastic repaint & repairing

:+1:.....Trey is right!.....to get a decent paintjob,.......plus get the plastics repaired,.it's gonna cost ya amin of 2 thou!......and thats if you take all the bodywork off and bring it to him!......the materials is what costs!....a good base clear job will prob run around 4-6 hundred just in paint!......

If it was me!,....and I was on a super tight budget,.....I would repair the plastics or GET them repaired and spraybomb it Flat Black!.......I have always been a big fan of the murderd out look on these 10r's!........gives it the stealth look!..........check the gallery,...there should be some Blacked out photos around here somewhere!

and the only thing tough about repairing the tank is,..it is aluminum!......the usual "stud guns,.or dent pullers won't weld to Aluminum!.........you would have to take it to someone with a tig and have em repair it with aluminum studs tig welded on to pull the dents!

i would do this in these steps since your on a budget,

1: take the whole bike apart and assess the damage off the bike (broken clips etc will pop up along the way)
2: search ebay, craigslist or the forums for parts regardless of color to replace the broken parts,
3: get together a working set of plastics and sand them all down to prep for repair or hopefully just primer and paint
4: shop around for the best deal you can find (in reason dont go shitty shop style) that has the best work check some of their previous jobs if you can.
5: have them paint the plastics and reinstall your self.

i would say you should be able to find most of your broken pieces on the net for a decent price, then add that to painting the bike probably around 500-1000 for paint at a good shop, and you reinstall everything. if your lucky you can get it all looking good for around 1500-2000

good luck man.

yeah I agree, search craig's list and ebay for fairings that you can get for cheap instead of paying for a shit ton of body work you know. But I know a guy my way that does candy colors/body work and he only charged 1250 for my friends bike when he rashed it out bad. It came out looking sick, better then before. But I would expect to pay in the ball park of $1000-$1500 for a good turn around.

Yes but with PayPal if you don't get the stuff then you get your money back!!! Hell of alot cheaper than having the rashed stuff fixed and painted. Even if you buy a brand new gas tank it's still less than $1300 total, the tank retails for $732.97 and the part number for the complete assembly is SKU: 51084-5144-10A

And he is VERY GOOD, we took some OEM body work and my race body work and put them next to each other and you can NOT tell a difference! And yes he used the factory Colorite paint kawi green! As soon as i get my brembo master cylinder, 520 conversion, and my race plates/numbers put on, i'll post pics of it!
