Hey BB.

Not many guys use the Rapid bike due to the popularity of power commanders and now the surge in other products like Bazaz with the added racing benefits of traction control. Plus I'm not sure how many of your US tuners have access to the RB software to use alongside the dyno. RB is an Italian manufactured module, and I've only read about US ducati riders paying any interest in it when the 1098 came out as the PC3 wasn't ready and when it was ended up being a bit pointless tuning wise as it didn't fuel below 3000rpm or somewhere in that vicinity, plus all the recent RB modules 'there are 3' just like the early power commanders, have adjustment for ignition which is great if you need it and handy if you don't, just to play with. I've used my RB3 on several bikes including a 2007 ZX10 and thought it was streets ahead of the PC3

Anyone who's interested http://web.dimsport.com/rapidbike/

thanks for the reply my bud...
my good friend here in SA is the importer of RB and he loves it...
and he preps my bike for track and now that im thinking fo doing some engine mods, i gotta decide bewteen PC or RB....
i like the idea of the RB being newer technology as well....
and he prides himself on selling the only controller that control the time that u want the spark plug to "spark" if i can put it that way...

ill do soem more research with him this eve and will let u know which one i decide to go with...
ive got the 05 ZX10 so i do see that RB have one for my bike too...

I picked up some good gains on my 07 with the RB3 never had it back to backed with a power commander but it was stock apart from cans and a filter. with the advanced timing, which we left alone apart from the base map in the unit. I'd personally go RB3 as you have more scope for future mods. Like the map switch on the fly for wet dry races or the individual cylinder mapping plus you can keep the unit when you switch bikes and just re-flash it to work with the new bike or swap it between same model bikes if you have two set up with different engine mods.

decided to get myself the Rapid Bike with quickshifter...
and just bought a full Arata system as well...
so will run the RB with Full Arata and BMC Air Filter...
should be a decent enough gain for me for my track use...

if i find the 08 Blades and 08 ZX10's still pulling away on the straights...then ill
go ahead and do the Thinner head gasket, flow the head and degree the cams...

so the first part of the mods should be done by early next month woohoo...
will give feedback once they are done...
wanna do a stock dyno...then a dyno with just the Arata...
then a dyno with the Arata and RB on...

will post results for all to see once it is done...

Rapid bike is made by dimsport other than the rb1-2-3 they have rapid bike evo and racing modules that you can fit on any bike. diference of evo vs racing is ignition and some other options. They both have optional bluetooth conectivity for racing and pre installed auto tune with stock oxygen sensors. they have both options for quick shifter and map switch and blue tooth conectivity for the race track. rapid bike evo has pit lane rpm switch as well. Lately there is rapid bike evo amd race they call ltd that is bicause is a bit cheaper and locked on a specified bike. the others are unregiatered and you can transfer them on other bikes that you have with just buying the wiring that comes for your bike.

guys there are new products for rapid bike that are way easier to program them. i have seen that you have been talking about rb 1-2-3. the new line is rapid bike evo and racing. those are the ones that you should have. they have minor differences between them like the race has ignition adjustments - pit lane rpm switch etc things that evo doesnt have. but they both have auto tuning via stock lambda and work as an rpm deristrictor. they have option for bt connectivity for race track both and quick shifter. i have been working with those boxes for a while now and i am sure i like them more than any other box. they are working faster than the ecu so the calculations they do are eliminating the fact of faults. easy to install and when you sell the bike you dont have to buy a new box you just buy the spicified wiring and transfer it to the new bike. if someone needs any help with those boxes i have the programs and the equipment to help you to figure it out.
