So I ran a bearing on one of my conrods. Had it mic'd up and the conrod is out of round and that journal's smallest diameter is 34.45 mm compared to the other three that are all still round at 34.49. My main bearings are ill still within spec at 34.99mm

I can get my conrods back to round and have my crank ground down by 0.04 mm and then plastigauge it. I am hoping that I will then have less than the 0.1 mm service limit the service manual recommends. I have ordered the blue bearings (the thickest standard bearings) but have no idea what there actual thickness is.

Does anyone have a set that they could measure for me with a micrometer?

Also any mods I should do while the motor is split?

Thanks in advance!

Personally, I would replace that rod, There were forces or heat or both involved in getting it out of round that might have weakened the rod. But that is just my :2cents:.
