Raising RPM limit safely

Has there been any tests done that show where it is safe to raise the RPM limit to on a Gen5? I ask because it looks like the ECU flashes all make the engine make power straight to the limiter so how high can I safely take the limiter to, to get more power?

Yeap 500 RPM to 14,200. I heard you can do 750 RPM but it is the very ragged edge of stock motor.

Leave it at 14.2k. You can run it higher but the valve springs wont last. Not to mention the motor doesnt make power up there anyway. My shift light is set to 13,750. I shift around 14k.
