Now i am thinking of getting rid of my 2005 zx10r magma. now i am sure i could get 5500 out of it easily. But what if i wanted to raffle it off on here. maybe like 100 dollars a ticket and there would have to be 55 tickets sold. Then i would probably get with a mod to do the raffle like bloo or someone which if im not mistaken is about 3 hours from me in sacramento.
so basically 55 tickets would be sold if not i wouldnt do it. so for 100 dollars you would have a 1 in 55 chance of winning my bas a$$ zx10r. now if winner was not local he would have to pay shipping. what do you guys think? sound stupid or whould people be ineterested?
oh the reason i am thinking about getting rid of it is because i found an 09 10r limited edition i really like.
anyway let me know. here are pics. now keep in mind that the lor exhaust is not on it any more. it currently has a racefit slashcut installed ( i know nobody likes the slashcut) and the pictures do not reflect the world of qb carbon fiber frame covers.
there are 5000 woth of aftermarket parts on this bike.

i like the idea of it. it could have the possibility of proving to be a very effective.

i think up to date pictures and a list of mods(since you state they total $5k) would be in order.

And how does the winning bidder claim the purchase price when he/she (haha, HE) goes to register it? $50? $5000? what if you don't sell enough tickets, you still gonna do the raffle, refund the money?

i would not raffle or take anyone's money until i had the exact amount of people 100 percent for sure they want to be in the raffle. you can put it as a gift on the title or put what ever you want.
like i said i am not trying to jip people here. i could easily just sell it.
but it would be cool as shit to win this for 50 dollars.

Well, if you don't take money till you get the tickets sold, I would be down to buy one.

Well, I like the idea, and I might even be down for a 50$ ticket, but I got a few questions.

What about shipping the bike, and bill of sale and transfer of title?
In my state if you brought a bill of sale for 50$ for a 05 bike they are gonna make you pay tax on NADA value, so there is 600$ or so after TTL, and then if you have the bike shipped, that is another 750$ or so minimum. Just questions and stuff to think about.

Also what if you have 110 guys commit to this and when it comes down to them fessing up their 50$ it might be a little harder to get everyone to actualoy fess up the cash.

Another thing I though of (call me a skeptic) but how are we to know that the drawing is truely random?

Let me play devils advocate, (not that I do not think you are a stand up guy, cause I do, you been around a while now) what would stop a freind from buying a 50$ ticket and having the inside line on the "random" drawing, worse yet, he sells the bike back to you and you go home with your bike and the 5500$. Again, I think you are a stand up guy, but I could see quite a easy way to spin this in any number of directions.
