Hey guys,

I installed my race ecu on my bike and now my fuel pump does not turn on....I have it connected via sub harness p/t# 26031-0700. It also tells me when i connect the ecu to my laptop my computer says the ecu won't let me read or write to it.

Any of you guys ever experience any of this or does anyone have the schematics to the sub-harness wiring so maybe i can troubleshoot it myself.....This is not something that I can go to my dealer and go get as they have no experience with any kawasaki performance parts...

Your fuel pump should turn on, if you have the key on AND the kill switch. If not, check your tip sensor.

To connect to the ECU, you might have to designate which USB port to use. Click "set" in the top row of items (in grey color) and click RS232C... That will open the ports menu. You will have to try ports 1 thru 8 individually until you can connect. You also have to have the key on and the kill switch in run position. Also, if you are using a USB adaptor cable on the programmer cable, sometimes the software is picky on what kind of adaptor driver you use.

Have fun!

Also do you know where to get the firmware updates for the ecu??

Did you buy this stuff new or used? No, there is no setting for the fuel pump.

I have never needed to update my firmware, so I don't know about that.

He bought it from me and it works just fine with the race harness. It has its own fuel pump relay. Not the factory box.

Not sure whats up with the sub-harness.:dontknow:

A thought just came to mind. Being that its a race ecu my kickstand would have to be in the up position for the fuel pump to turn on. Being that with track bikes they remove there kickstand and bypass that. So that would explain as to why my stock ecu will work on the subharness but when the race ecu is connected the fuel pump won't turn on. Does this theory of mine make any sense as I will try it out when I get home later....
