Searched the forums..

My brother bought a rifleman insert-

But Im looking for an actual 1/4 turn throttle tube.

I heard a rumor that some "Japanese" company makes one ZX10 specific? I cannot find or confirm this...?

I haven't actually checked mine but it has been reported here before that the stock throttle is 1/4 turn. The upgrade (quicker) throttle is 1/5 turn.

OEM is 91 or 92 degrees of rotation (that is 1/4 of a turn) from idle pin to the WOT stops... a 1/4 is slower/longer then a 1/5th which is slower/longer then a 1/6th.

my 1/5th takes that down to 72 degrees...

the insert keeps the OEM grip and housing so all looks factory/professional.

the Kawi race kit takes it down to 60' (1/6th), needs a custom housing and cables and is difficult to control on the street both maintaining a constant speed and getting away from stoplights/signs with out over reving the engine, or stalling it out...

if your brother has one, you should give his a try and see if you like it.. I always have them in stock and can ship one right out...

I have the Kawi race kit throttle, and have none of the issues stated above. Fits perfect, works perfect. Expensive and a little odd looking, but I love it. I have pix posted on this forum of it.
