i make a few search and all talk about flash, 3rd gen doesn't have a lot of restrictions, i remove the secondary butterfly's, remove the filter and have a m4 short slip-on .

Gen1-gen3 arent restricted as the 4th or 5th gens but the later gen's still can benefit from a flash.

I'm waiting on my reflashed ECU, and I've installed a Bazzaz ZF-I in the meantime. Can't wait for this dyno tune!

I would just have it dyno tuned with the flash.
why add a second box and another chance to have a issue?
unless you doing the bazzaz zfi, traction and quickshifter your just adding more fuel via the box.
A good dyno guy can flash and tune the stock ecu for your set up or about the cost of a box.
theres two in Michigan if that helps shoot me a pm I can get you there info if your local

Have the bike on an autotuner. Bike will be ridden in various temperatures. Atmospheric figures during the Time of tune/flash is also important, so having the autotuner via the ZF-I is important (to me at least).

Nels @ two wheel dyno works flashed my Gen 5. I would reach out to him to see if he can flash your bike via mail in service unless you have a local dyno tuner.

i think is much better make the reflash at the dyno, I do not trust the programming sent without taking it to dyno.

I understand but there is nothing to worry about. Also if you are that worried, get autotune. But you don't seem to be for the US, so your options will probably be limited.

Im from Puerto Rico, here they do the reflash on the dyno.
Cost about $150-$200 for all.

I actually had a auto tune I pulled off my Zx6. if it actually tuned while riding I would have one but all I read says it just data logs.
Than you need to download review and recommend a tune from there I rather pay a tune let the ecu make the small changes and ride

I went with bazzaz after talking to a range of people who use the PCV and ZFI unit. Apparently bazzaz has a better refresh rate when it's collecting data. Gonna get this dyno tuned to a target AFR, ride it while it's around 0-5 degrees Celsius now, and see if the auto tune makes a difference in the summer when it's 28-31 degrees on average. I did get both units for fairly cheap, so it wasn't that risky for me.

Bazzaz has a much simpler design too. An added bonus.
Just get the FTECU kit with Active tune and you'll never need to log and apply trims. Good base map and Active tune is the best option.
