I have a 04. Zx10r that I’ve replace the fuel pump show now at full throttle. It breaks up, and when I let off a whole, the bike takes off. I went to take the tank off and when I disconnected the fuel line, I had fuel still dumping out of the tank. Did I do something wrong?

The fuel can till get out of the tank when disconnecting the fuel line, I have seen that on my 05. If the bike stop reving at some RPM, there is a good chance that it is a faulty fuel pump. Check the pressure or change the pump again. Make sure you are not pinching the fuel line when reinstaling the tank.

yes there is a problem if the bike dumps fuel after disconnecting the fuel line, it can dump a small amount for a quick 2 seconds while the line kinda clears but thats it. it should not keep coming out more than a couple seconds, if it does you got shit wrong for sure.

I have seen threads on this forum about the same issue. It is a bad fuel pump. A guy bought a quantum defective fuel pump. See if you can find by searching.
