Ive been reading about this new tyre that Pirelli has out and was wondering if anyone has used them yet ?? and how they work and feel ?? I would like to try it out, but here again like the Michelin Pilot Road 2 tyre this tyre only comes in a 190/50 and I want a 190/55.... they ran and tested it for 24 hours.. heres some links to it...

I heard the Angel ST's are a good sporttouring tire, with an unusual tire wear indicator. As the tire wears the tread pattern goes from an angel design to a demon. Very cool IMHO. But I haven't seen them offered in the states yet.

Ok I tried these Angels 10,000 kms ago.

Now I commute daily (rain or shine)and blast through the country side to some twisties about 200kms away from where I live on sundays.

I do from 500 to 600 kms of riding per week. 400 of those kms. are hard street riding, meaning every sunday I try and outride my bike.(not there yet)
I have reached the shoulders of the tyre(no chicken strips on rear and about 4mm on the front).

I also did a long freeway run to another popular twisties(Oxley Hwy for the boys in OZ)
. That's not me in the vid. Just wanted to show you the Oxley if you care.

Now the front looks like it can go another 10,000 ks, but the rear is wearing in the middle about 3mm off the indicator and the shoulders about 40%.
Probably last another 2000ks.

Overall the tyres are very good, I haven't hit the deck.
All that is missing is the feeling of awesome grip you get with full sports tyres. In saying that you just need to trust the tyre, it will grip.
Also I have been told the roads over there are similar to our roads.

Now when it comes time to replace them, I will toss a coin between Angels again and DC111 or similar.

Basically I tried these tyres to see if I could get more mileage and have a bit of sticky also. I run them with 41psi rear and 36psi front recommended pressures by kawasaki.

It's not a bad compromise if your riding habits are similar.

If I was a weekend/occasional rider or prefer awesome grip to mileage I would go for a full sports/hyper sports tyre, take your pick but the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa looks good!:dontknow:

Hope it helps someone out!

Just fitted some Angel ST's on my Ducati. Haven't done any real miles on them (only about 5 miles) but they seem better than the old Strada's I had on them before. I'll put some miles on her this week (weather permitting) and let everyone know what to expect.

Well let me know what you think of the Cj, I have been waiting for them to hit Canada, and I need some new tires so the dealer just called and they do have them in stock, fronts $180.00 and rear $130.00, which I think is pretty good. But I would like to hear more what people think of them before I get them. I have Pirelli on her now and I really like them. Thanks

Pirelli's aren't that good of a tire in my mind. They tend to always stay cold or you have to carve or put a warmer on them like crazy to get them to grip etc...
wha!? I run pirelli DOTs on the track, and they are INSANE> I run em on warmers, but they are def not needed. The street tires i have run (diablo corsa III) have been epic as well, weird
