Hi guys, i just picked up some pilot power race take offs and am concerned about warming them. Towards the end of summer here in MT and can get pretty cold, and i find myself riding in 40 degree weather every once in awhile.
I know these tired need to warm and am wondering if these are going to be a stupid idea in the cold weather. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I'd call it risky.. no expert but I'd say it mostly depends on the type of riding you're planning..

michelin pilot race are notorious for warm up lag...they will not come up to appropriate temp especially on a 40 degree weather so id take it easy if i were you. i would go with street tires instead. race tires only work great if the temp are ideal race temp especially when warmed up. no matter what kind of riding you do on the street it will not justiify you warming those puppies especially on 40 degree temp.

stay safe

^^^ What they said. My only offing at the track this yr was a Front end tuck on a Power race during the 1st lap of a practice session. They dont grip unless U have the heat.
