Heard from a mechanic this morning that he once had a ZX-10R customer who killed two ECUs when using a US imported PCV.

Is there any difference in the PCVs we'd get here vs in the US? They are ~US$200 more if bought locally in Australia, so it's quite a big incentive to source through the US.

Side note: is the autotune module worth getting when have an O2 sensor on the '11s, can't the PCV use the existing sensor?

Thanks!
A.

The bike is no different except for ECU programming and minor wiring differences unrelated to the engine controls, with the exception that your bike has the wiring to the O2 sensor and the US models don't. But the O2 sensor wiring doesn't go through the harness connector where the Power Commander plugs into. Power Commander shouldn't be any different.

You will not be able to use the stock O2 sensor - that I know for sure. The autotune system requires a wide-band lambda sensor. What's on there as standard is a conventional OEM narrow-band sensor.
