Just installed this and changed my dirt oem filter with a new oem one. Is there a setting/map that doesn't alter any of the current ECU's settings? Is it called a zero map (M212-000) on powercommander's website?

Is dan kyle's map the (M212-513) that is listed on powercommander's webpage?

I want to do a baseline run with just the Muzzy slip on that I currently have on the bike and compare that to my bone stock baseline that was done when the bike only had 1,200 miles, I know have 6,000. I then want to do a run with Dany Kyle's map compared to the other two and then finally have the dyno operator make some tweaks.

Yes, the zero map is a generic map and will not hurt anything...it is a stock setting...put the dan kyle map on CD and bring it to the dyno/powercommander tuneing center and have them do a run with the zero map, then install the dan kyle map and run that...se where you are at with the air/ fuel ratio and then have the tweek it a bit for you....

THis particular dyno facility does not have their a/f working. I did run with a zero map & with the muzzy s/o and then repeated with the DK map loaded and didn't not see any difference in the power or curve. I think the end result was a dismal 155 sae whp.

the HP sounds right...but you should really try to get to an air/fuel dyno to make sure its running at its optimum performance....

Allthough I wouldnt call 155 dismal..not for a slip on and PCIII. And the Dan Kyle map is m212-DK302-1..Thats the map for Stock filter with Sato slip-on. The one you listed was for a European model ZX-10. Which I believe has a slighty different map up top because the exhaust vavle opens all the way up. Where as the US version closes to cut down on noise. Anyone else know what other differences there are between US and EU maps?

unfortunatly, every bike runs different in every state....the maps you can download from the dynojet website or from dan kyle are sort of "generic" maps....nothing is better then a custom map....
Its like getting a custom tailored suit made for your body....it fits you perfect until you gain or lose weight....the custom map fits your bike perfect until you change something performance wise....

I agree 100%. But you still need a base line to start at. It seems the DK is the one to start with.At least its better than the stock one. I was comparing the two, and MAN is the stock Map rich (or the DK is a lot more lean than stock just about EVERYWHERE) One of these days I'll get around to gettin a custom map.

That isn't exactly ture ZX-7. ZERO is the map I start with, every time, for the reasonthat, every map is different. So for example, if the DK map at 3000rpm and 20% throttle is at -12, and this bike needs -4, how is starting with that map a better option? It's not every state that needs a different map, it's every bike. I have mapped 2 GSXR1000's on the same day, same exhaust, same filter, and both ended with the same power, BUT the maps were very different in some places, and a little in others. The point is, you will never know by how far, how close etc, and this is why you need to get it mapped onthe dyno, so the map is for YOUR bike.

The correct A/F ratio is most important and your bike will luv ya for it. When i'm able to find a suitable DJ tuning place i'll have an A/F reading done before anything and then load a slip-on map and tweek it for a proper 13:0 A/F ratio and raise it to 13:1 for above 8k to make use of the ram-air (if there is such a beast) assistance in the upper RPM range.

Um, 13:0? then raise it to 13:1? Can I ask how you will run your bike with an air fuel mix of 13 parts air to 0 parts fuel? Gotta be a typo.
